the build basics
This build is setup for Magicka but can also work as a Stamina based damage dealer. Check out this page here for the Stamina version.

64 Points into Magicka
Thief is the go-to 99% of the time for PvE DPS
Race doesn't make a huge difference and all content can be completed with any race option
Bi-stat is the usual go-to. Single Stat if you don't need the health. Sustain options listed if you are struggling.
Heroism or Tri-stat if buffs are covered, Spell Power if not.

setup a: SINGLE TARGET DPS
WELL suited for ENCOUNTERS WITH 1 OR FEW PRIORITY TARGETS
For encounters where you CAN grab Aetheric Lancer
For encounters where you CANNOT grab Aetheric Lancer
Advanced DPS Setup
Slightly easier and higher survival setup w/ minimal DPS loss
NOTES:
Bright Harbinger and Judgement’s Brand for the Class Masteries
Aetheric Lancer can be difficult to grab on some encounters, prepare accordingly
Carve can be swapped to whatever is needed for your situation
Radiant Oppression is more damage then Glory but worse on sustain and survival
Need Spell Power potions here for Major Sorcery or if a Dragonknight is running Igneous Weapons you are fine to stick with your other potions (it is provided on the dummy)
Vampire’s Bane is providing your Major Prophecy, make sure to source that elsewhere if you drop this skill (it is provided on the dummy)

WELL suited for A LARGE VARIETY OF DIFFERENT CONTENT

This is the Stamina version but the rotation is the same for Magicka, you can just subtract about 5k DPS from losing the extra Sundered procs from Biting Jabs
